I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the IoT Thrust, Information Hub, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). I received my Ph.D. degree from the ECE, University of Toronto, supervised by Prof. Baochun Li, and B.S. degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT). My research interests have focused on distributed machine learning and federated learning, especially the training of Large Language Models in today's edge computing and metaverse environments. I am passionate about continuing my work in these exciting yet inter-disciplinary areas of research, embodied AI, multi-agent systems and distributed systems. I received the IEEE MetaCom Best Paper Award in 2023.
